“Thanks for taking a moment to visit my site.

My work spans many different genres and I like to keep exploring new subjects and styles. I explore the world around me on the lookout for inspirational places. I strive to capture a special situation in a unique way. I experiment with unusual angles and push the boundaries of time and exposure. My aim is to evoke an emotional response that makes you want to keep looking and return to explore the image again and again.”

The artist:

Ben is an emerging digital media photographer who has already built a strong reputation both locally and internationally. His work has been accepted and awarded in Sheffield and Yorkshire Regional exhibitions and has won several 1st place prizes in international competitions. Ben’s fine art prints are in demand across the globe through this website and other outlets through Artfinder and at Not On The High Street. He is also a stock contributor with Getty Images. Fine art prints have been dispatched to over 15 different countries around the globe.

Ben’s primary interests lie in Natural History, Landscape and Architecture photography but any subject is considered if it interests him. Ben’s creativity is driven by the natural environment and the seasons which is clearly visible in his work with many images being produced locally close to his home near the Derbyshire Peak District National Park. Travel and architecture often feature in his work as he has a real passion for exploring the planet, it’s people and special places. Some of Ben’s images have been captured in such diverse places as Peru, Barcelona, London, Paris, Italy, Australia, Austria and all over the UK to name just a few.

The technique:

Photographing alone, Ben meticulously researches his subjects and plans the location and time of the shoot to make best use of available light and in particular unique weather conditions and seasonal conditions. He attempts to capture a unique point of view, mood and feeling in each of his images. All RAW files are edited meticulously by Ben to bring out the best in each capture. Ben primarily uses a 36MP Nikon D810 professional camera to record most of his images so that maximum detail is captured.

Prints up to A3 size are produced in his studio using archival quality inks and papers. Each print has an image life of at least eighty five years ensuring quality and longevity. Many prints are uniquely numbered as part of a limited edition fine art collection, guaranteeing authenticity and exclusivity although open editions are available. Prints larger than A3 and different materials including framing services are available through Ben with any bespoke order considered. Ben has a selection of trusted suppliers from budget requirements through to Fine Art Guild standard.

The future:

Ben continues to photograph subjects of interest, in particular whilst travelling and exploring. He aims to grow and diversify his portfolio further and can be contacted to discuss anything photographic or for any special projects.
